Faith and its Branches Course (Ref: C001)

Sundays @ 12-2pm

This course covers 78 branches divided into seven categories and is the minimum knowledge required by every Muslim in their daily life. It covers aspects of creed, jurisprudence, manners, Quran, hadeeth and life skills. The course is based on 'The Branches of Iman' by Imam al Bayhaqi, the lessons of Sheikh Salem Al Sheikhi, and the 'Islamic Creed Series' by Dr Umar Al Ashqar.

Ladies' Tafseer Class 
(Ref: C002)

Thursdays @ 9:30-11am

Detailed explanation of the verses of Quran based primarily on the abridged tafseer of Ibn Kathir (ten volumes), written in English. This has been supplemented by the lecture series by Alomgir Ali on Tafsir, Taleem al-Quran series, Translation and Tafsir by Taimiyyah Zubair in English for Al Huda, the English text of ‘Towards Understanding Quran’ by Abul A’la Maududi, as well as the English translation of 'Maarifatul Quran' by Mufti Mohammed Shafi.

Saturdays @ 10am-12pm

A weekly session demystifying Quran through learning tajweed, memorisation, and exploring how the Quran shapes our lives.

Teenage Boys' Islamic History Class (Ref: C005)

Fridays @ 7:30-8:30pm 

Open to teenage boys aged 12+, this class is an exciting exploration of history from an Islamic perspective.

Juz Amma Memorisation Class (Ref: C006)

Wednesdays @ 9:30-10:30am

Reconnect to the Quran like never before, by memorising the 30th juz. Includes tilawah (recitation), tafseer (explanation and context), as well as memorisation. Beginning in November 2020 (contact for late registration). Completely online and fully supported by dedicated teacher. 

Women only. Fully online.

INACTIVE - Dawah Training for schools and places of work
(Ref: C009)

Learn how to do dawa and get acquainted with the skills of presenting in front of an audience. You will be provided with PowerPoint presentations to help you present to schools and or your place of work. Target audiences: 5-8 years old, 9-11 years old, 12-16 years old, Adults.

INACTIVE - Diseases of the Heart
(Ref: C010) 

A course based on the poem by Shaykh Muhammad Mawlud entitled Matharat al Qulub. Purification of the Hearts is a poem that lists 25 diseases of the heart in detail and outlines a comprehensive treatment for the diseases of the heart. Each of us is responsible for the health of our physical and spiritual hearts and this work looks at beneficial actions for the heart and gives solutions to root out the diseases that can afflict the hearts.

INACTIVE - Seerah of the Prophet

A course based on the four volume English translation of Imam Ibn Kathir’s The Life of the Prophet Muhammad as part of the Great Books of Islamic Civilization series commissioned by the Centre for Muslim Contribution to Civilization and translated by Professor Gassick, Professor of Arabic Literature at the University of Michigan.

INACTIVE - Quran Tajweed
(Ref: C014)

Learn how to read Quran with all the basic rules of tajweed which is a fard kifaya (individual obligation) upon every Muslim. There are three levels: 
Level 1: Alphabet – 8 vowels – joined three letter words.
Level 2: Introduction to Arabic grammar- Some tajweed rules-Reading from Chapter 30 of the Quran-
Level 3: Rules of recitation of the Quran- Reading Chapter 29.
